The American magazine Rolling Stone has included Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on its list of the “200 Best Singers of All Time.”

The amazing Pakistani vocalist earned position 91 on the list.

“Watching archival performances of the late Pakistani vocal master Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan — an icon in the realm of Qawwali, a type of Sufi devotional song, whose family’s musical legacy stretched back hundreds of years — it’s easy to lose track of time,” the magazine wrote for the late vocalist. “It’s easy to hear how his music easily reached global audiences in the eighties when he began performing abroad and recording for Peter Gabriel’s Real”

Artists like Jungkook of the K-pop boy band BTS, IU of South Korea, Lata Mangeshkar of India, and The Weeknd of Canada were featured on the list.

Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Sam Cooke, Billie Holiday, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, Otis Redding, and Al Green are among the top 10 performers from the list of the greatest singers of all time.
