After the Supreme Court declared the deputy speaker ruling on the Punjab CM election as null and void, supporters of PTI came out to celebrate the win.

The decision the whole nation was waiting for, was finally announced after a delay of over three and half hours on Tuesday late evening.

The coalition government since then has boycotted the SC proceedings. The PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz termed the verdict a “Judicial Coup” and tweeted the party rejects the decision calling it a “murder of justice”.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and Former PM Imran Khan praised the court’s decision and tweeted that the judges “stood firm and upheld the Constitution and law against all manner of threats and abuse”.

Imran Khan also called out to the supporters of the party declaring “Tomorrow evening we will offer thanks to Allah & celebrate with all the people of Pakistan who have stood by us in our campaign for Haqeeqi Azadi, coming out in massive numbers to show support.”

People and supporters of PTI came out to celebrate in support of Pervaiz Elahi being elected as the CM of Punjab. A huge crowd was observed in several cities late last night including Sialkot, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Islamabad.
