Pakistan And China Will Jointly Launch A Historic Mission To The Moon

Pakistan’s historic lunar mission, ICUBE-Q, is scheduled for launch on May 3rd aboard China’s Chang’e 6 robotic exploration mission from Hainan, China, as per an APP report on Tuesday.

The launch event will be streamed live on IST’s website and social media platforms. The mission’s objective is to gather lunar surface samples from the Moon’s far side for research upon its return to Earth.

ICUBE-Q satellite has been jointly designed and developed by IST in collaboration with China’s Shanghai University SJTU and Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO.

Pakistan’s participation in this lunar mission will feature its CubeSat satellite iCube-Q, developed by IST. CubeSats, renowned for their compact size and standardized design, contribute significantly to scientific research, technology advancement, and educational endeavors in space exploration.

Pakistan’s engagement in this lunar endeavor underscores its dedication to space exploration and collaboration with China to propel scientific research and technological development on an international level.
