According to a study, more than 100 million are allegedly using Netflix accounts via password sharing without actually purchasing an account. The company also saw more than 65% drop in its share prices.

The streaming service has decided to roll out the update around the world but are starting out the upgrade in 5 Latin American nations for now including Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Argentina and Guatemala. If a customer uses their account from a different location for longer than 2 weeks, they will have to pay the extra charges. However, laptop tablet and mobile phone users will not be affected by this change.

According to the upgrade, sharing password will cost an extra $2.99 in these nations except Argentina where it will cost an $1.7.
