Punjab to Transfer Clinical Departments of Government Hospitals to Private Sector

The Punjab government has announced plans to outsource clinical departments in government hospitals to private institutions, marking a significant change in healthcare management.

This initiative is part of a pilot project to improve efficiency and service delivery in the province’s public health sector.

The project will initially target hospitals in five districts: Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan Teaching Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan, Sahiwal Teaching Hospital, and Children’s Hospital in Faisalabad.
