Elon Musk Layoff Half of the Twitter Workforce Via Rude Email

Most of the employees from Twitter HQ in San Francisco received an official email from the company that said, “If you are in an office or on your way to an office, please return home.”

The email further said, “In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce.”

Reportedly, Twitter is conducting a mass layoff after Musk bought the company for $44 billion. These layoffs are a part of Musk reinventing and changing Twitter just as he promised.

However, a lawsuit has been filed against these layoffs as employees claim that they did not receive a 60-day notice period in advance which violates federal laws in California.

Some inner sources have revealed that Musk wants the company to save $1 billion in annual infrastructure. The new Twitter owner has already fired all of the senior workforce and top officers.

Indian employees seem to have gotten the worse end of it as most of the Indian workforce has been laid off.

A report from an employee also states that a ‘“significant chunk” of the India team has been laid off.’

All these changes are in addition to Musk charging $8 for a certified blue tick on Twitter.

The global ambassador of Dogecoin and a very dear friend of Elon Musk, Matt Wallace, seconded the decision and mocked the fired employees in a Tweet he made that says,

“Elon Musk just started mass layoffs at Twitter. Now all the people fired will have to actually get real jobs.”

The former employees took to Twitter to bid farewell to their other employees and their job with the hashtag #oneteam.
