On Wednesday, the gold price in Pakistan saw a slight decrease, ending the day at Rs. 248,200 per tola.
As per data released by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs. 300 per tola to Rs. 248,200, with the price of 10 grams dropping by Rs. 236 to Rs. 212,791.
In a concise statement, the Sarafa Association mentioned that the price of gold has been maintained below cost by Rs. 4,000, taking into account the notable decrease in the purchasing power of the public.
At the start of the new week, the price of the precious metal rose by Rs. 2,300 per tola on Monday. However, it dropped by Rs. 1,900 per tola yesterday following a decline in international prices.
In the global market, spot gold fell by 0.3 percent to $2,413.96 per ounce as of 1127 GMT.
