PM Shehbaz Sharif forms committee for PECA amendments and consensus-building.
The committee, chaired by Adviser to PM on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah, includes Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Education Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, IT Minister Shaza Fatim, Member National Assembly Nawabzada Khalid Hussain Magsi, Senator Sherry Rehman, and Attorney General of Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan as its members.
The committee’s tasks include building political consensus on proposed amendments to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, suggesting reforms, and finalizing recommendations. Their proposal will be submitted to the Prime Minister for review within days.
