CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz approves funds for Roshan Gharana Program, aimed at improving electricity access in the province.
The Roshan Gharana Program targets power consumers using up to 100 units of electricity monthly. It aims to provide eligible households with solar kits, offering reliable electricity access. These kits include a 1kv solar system with solar panels, batteries, inverters, and wiring, facilitating a shift towards renewable energy in Punjab.
During the meeting chaired by CM Maryam Nawaz, thorough discussions were conducted on the operational framework and funding allocations for the Roshan Gharana Program. The decision to distribute solar kits to eligible households showcases the government’s proactive stance in promoting sustainable development and diminishing dependence on traditional energy sources.
In addition to the Roshan Gharana Program, the meeting approved various initiatives to improve educational opportunities and administrative efficiency in Punjab. Funds were allocated for a state-of-the-art computer lab at the Government College of Technology, highlighting the government’s dedication to fostering digital literacy and technological progress.
Furthermore, CM Maryam Nawaz reaffirmed the government’s commitment to tackling administrative challenges, like the backlog of vehicle number plates, within a set timeframe.
