As the scorching heatwave intensifies, the provincial education minister of Punjab has unveiled the schedule for summer vacations in schools and colleges.
Educational institutes are anticipated to adhere to a comparable schedule as last year, with summer vacations expected to extend over two months.
The education minister confirmed that the summer holidays will commence on June 7, 2024, and conclude on August 19, 2024. The Education Department is anticipated to release an official notification regarding this in the upcoming weeks.
Previously, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) cautioned that temperatures could soar to 49.5 degrees Celsius in June, with August potentially witnessing peaks of 48.63 degrees Celsius.
