Today, a session of the Privatization Commission Board convened, led by Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan. During the meeting, it was decided to extend the deadline for submitting interest in the divestment of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL) until May 18.
According to a statement released by the Press Information Department, the extension was granted in response to requests from interested parties. The statement further mentioned that ten entities have already demonstrated their interest in acquiring shares of PIACL.
The invitation for expressions of interest in acquiring the majority stakes in PIACL was advertised both domestically and internationally on April 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
