An Attack In Dera Ghazi Khan Resulted In The Tragic Loss Of Five Customs Officials’ Lives

Unknown attackers killed five officials of the Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Customs (Peshawar) in Dera Ismail Khan on Thursday.

According to a statement from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the officials were ambushed by unidentified assailants during an Intelligence-Based Operation along Daraban Road, near the village of Sagguu in Dera Ismail Khan.

The martyred Intelligence Officers are identified as Aslam Khan, Havaldar Inayat Ullah Khan, Havaldar Akbar Zaman, Sepoy Iftikhar Alam, and Sepoy Shahab Ali.

A senior Customs official, as reported by The Khorasan Diary, stated, “Customs had intensified efforts to combat smuggling in this area, which was frequented by militant networks involved in smuggling weapons and vehicles used in attacks in urban centers.”
