Aerial firing on Independence Day at midnight caused injuries to 31 people.
At least 31 people were injured due to aerial firing on the eve of Independence Day in Karachi.
Most of the injured people were shifted to private hospitals where they were provided first aid. Afterward, the patients were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), Dr. Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital, and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities for the police surgeon’s report.
On Saturday, at midnight, the city celebrated the 75th Independence Day. There were a lot of echoes of gunfire all around the city.
Injured include Imdad, 40, who was hit by a stray bullet in Mahmoodabad, Ayaz Ahmed, 35, who was hit by stray bullets in Nazimabad, Afhsan got injured in Chakiwara, Shazia, 35, who got injured in DHA phase-II, Ayesha, 15 at Mola Madad Bus Stop in Lyari, Hidayat, 48, in Shershah and many others.
A child and a boy were also injured in near Mustafa Mosque, Shah Faisal Colony, and were shifted to the JPMC.
