Henley Passport Index 2022 just ranked Pakistani passport as the 4th worst in the world again after last year. 199 passports from around the world are ranked based on the number of destinations they provide without a visa from the informational data by the International Air Transport Association.
Pakistani passport was ranked 109th, positioned in the index just before the devasted countries of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria. Allowing access to just 32 locations without a prior visa, the green passport maintained its position from last year.
Whereas Japan’s passport was ranked at the top, allowing 193 visa-free accessible locations to its holders while South Korea and Singapore followed it closely by being ranked on the 2nd number while passports of Spain and Germany tied for the 3rd position. Most of the countries that ranked at the top were either the US, UK, or European.
Other Asian countries like India, Tajikistan, and Mauritius were ranked 87th, allowing their holder visa-free access to 67 countries. Afghanistan falls at the bottom of the list allowing the holders with unrestricted access to just 26 destinations.
