If you know a Lahori u must be familiar with their love for PAAYE.  If you do not know what paaye is, you probably do not know much about Pakistani cuisine. Paaye is a term for the foot in the subcontinent including Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh. It is a foot of the cow, goat, buffalo, or sheep cooked with assorted spices. The main part of the paaye is the grease or meat that surrounds the foot and the marrow in it.

Fort Road Food Street

Located between the fort road and Roshnai gate of the walled city it is acknowledged for historical significance, rebuilt in 2012, and is known for Lahori traditional cuisines. People visit the place with family, friends, and their loved ones. It’s built beautifully keeping both heritage and architecture intact, which serves as a mesmerizing view for visitors. Moreover, this is one of the places in Lahore where one could get insights into both the historical and cultural perspectives of Pakistan.

This street hosts many eateries and restaurants, the most famous and known restaurant on the street is Haveli. It is built incredibly combining both conventional and modern architecture with the rooftop seating offering a clear and beautiful sight at the historical Badshahi Mosque for eaters.

Apart from the ambiance, Haveli is known for its most authentic continental cuisines. The yummiest food to try at Haveli would be their “Karahi” both mutton and chicken which is offered in a variety of spices and flavors one can choose from. If you are not a curry lover, you can also choose to try their dry and fried dishes which are equally tempting and delicious.
