A shuttle bus service between Islamabad and Murree has been formally commenced by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). The action aims to make life easier for the visitors that visit the hill resort all year round.
The facts state that the shuttle service travels between Lower Topa and Bhara Kahu. Every hour and a half, a bus leaves the terminal. A one-way journey costs Rs. 100 for each passenger.
Young people under the age of 12 and anyone over 65 can travel for free. The CDA has received praise from the public for offering a cost-effective travel option.
Chairman CDA Captain (r) Muhammad Usman Younis stated in this respect that the shuttle service also seeks to lessen traffic on the Murree Expressway during the busiest travel times.
A shuttle bus service between Murree and Islamabad has already been introduced. An earlier project of this kind was started by the Punjab government in July 2022.
The provincial government ran 15 buses between Islamabad and Murree during Eid-ul-Azha the previous year. A one-way ticket cost Rs. 100 for tourists a year ago.
