All You Need to Know About Xander’s:
Xander’s has made quite a name for itself and every foodie in town has been there, more than once. One of the most popular and well-known restaurants in Karachi that offers a wide range of dishes, from wood-fired pizzas to steaks to salads and everything in between. Xander’s offers an overall exquisite experience of fine dining and you will love it if you love Café Praha or Bella Vita.
Xander’s started operating in 2011, when the C.E.O Sikander Rizvi, opened the first branch near Café Flo, which is owned by Sikander’s mother Florence Villiers. Seeing how well the restaurant is running, it is no doubt that hospitability is in genes. Of course, doing A levels from one of the leading hospitability schools in the world, the École Hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, also helps. The restaurant has 3 branches now, at E-Street, Tipu sultan, and Phase 6, and each of them is a success that became a hit on its opening day. One of the best things about Xander’s is how they have managed to maintain consistency throughout the decade. The taste has remained the same, if not become better, and the customer service is excellent too.
The concept of this gourmet café is pretty simple; serving light meals with fresh ingredients. Every meal is filled with unique flavors that will dance in your mouth and tantalize your taste buds. You’ll remember the taste till long after and will soon have to go back for another meal here. Apart from serving some amazing main courses and starters, they also offer an all-day breakfast as well as delicious desserts and mocktails. The ambiance is very vibrant, minimal, and breezy with plants and trees being the center. Although the outdoor dining at the E-street branch is the favorite among people, the indoors at Tipu Sultan are also very much loved. Xander’s has become a favorite among the city’s younger and older customers and it’s here to stay for a long long time!

- “There are places you give your heart to and some places just steal it away…and Xander’s is one of those places for all 3 of us as a family.
I have been there for breakfasts, lunches and dinners on date nights with family with friends and recently with cousins. I may not be able to put all the things i have tried over the course of years in just this one post so i will post the most recent experience.
They unfortunately didn’t have the sauce for my usual steak this time so they gave us the choice of any sauce we would like on the same cut. We ordered 2 starters and 5 main courses and from the empty plates in the end i can say all of us were thoroughly satisfied.

– Grilled Porcini Steak (same cut but different sauces)

MAIN COURSE:
>1 Baber Pasta: combo of white and red sauce (enough for 2 persons) 5/10
>1 Alfredo: It was too good and full of extra white sauce. (enough for 1) 10/10
PS. Alredo consists penne not fettucine strips
>2 Moroccan chicken: same as any other restaurant 9/10
>1 Grilled prawn with garlic sauce: quantity was very less and were very salty (not enough for 1 person) 7/10
>1 Beef chimichurri uncut (well-done): I don’t eat beef but looked good and sidelines were more than enough (8/10 on looks)
>1 mini jalapeno pizza: was too good with thin crust and was more than enough for 1 person
DRINKS:
>blueberyy margarita: didn’t have enough essence/taste and wasn’t worth buying (5/10)
>Lemonta: delicious (10/10)
>red berry dacquiri: no big noo, tasted like brufen medicine (1/10)
Overall bill: around 10.5k
