The world’s first ever flying bike made a its US debut this weekend. The hoverbike called XTurismo is a flying bike that has been developed by Aerwins Technologies, a Japanese startup.
The bike looks inspired by a sci-fi movie and the sporty look along with the exposed carbon fiber panels makes the razor-sharp body look even more attractive.
The bike debuted at the Detroit Auto Show as well as took its first ever flight Infront of the public. The bike has 6 propellers beneath the body that allow the bike to take its flight.
These fans are powered by an internal combustion engine that provides it a cruising range of 40 Km. The bike’s top speed is 100 km/h, and it weighs 300 KG.
According to the reports, XTurismo will undergo further refinements before it is launched commercially. The bike currently has a limited flight time and the sound of propellers and the internal combustion engine make the bike noisy.
Also, the current vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) laws do not allow for the commercialization of a flying bike but the Aerwins has still priced the XTurismo at a whopping PKR 1.84 billion or $777,000.
The company will deliver almost 200 Limited-Edition XTurismos in 2022 and then is expected to begin its commercial production.
