1.  Saidpur Village:

Saidpur Village is located on the slopes of the magnificent Margalla Hills and is one of the most popular places to go for a picnic in Islamabad due to its intriguing history. Saidpur village is believed to be a village that has existed for more than five hundred years. There are a lot of fun activities you can do here such as scavenger hunts, bird watching, strolling, and other outdoor games of your choice.

Moreover, Saidpur is a dream place for any history buff. The actual attraction of Saidpur Village is the coexistence of three different religious centers in one place; you will find a church, an ancient Hindu temple, and a beautifully constructed mosque as well.

2. Daman-e-Koh:

Daman-e-Koh is probably the most famous spot in Islamabad. It is a beautiful lush green park situated at the foothills of Margalla as the name suggests. The exceptional position of the park offers a panoramic view of the capital along with the picturesque Faisal Mosque on the horizon. It is a perfect picnic spot, filled will all kinds of flowers and you will also get to witness monkeys dangling from trees. The park also has kiosks that serve different snacks as well as some economical jewelry stalls. The extensive wildlife of the place is also one of the major reasons for its popularity.

3. Rose and Jasmin Garden:

Rose and Jasmine Garden is a stunning park with the perfect location for a picnic. As the name suggests variety, the park is filled with varieties of flowers and herbs. You will also get to witness some cute hopping bunnies here as well as chicks and ducks running around in flocks. The park also has a small shack that serves delicious fries and hot chai. This garden had all the insta-worthy spots that will make you click a picture in every corner.

4. Lake View Park:

Lake View Park is situated near the scenic Rawal Lake providing full views of it. The serene and quiet that you will get to witness here, sitting near the lake will take all your worries away. You can also enjoy a boat ride on the lake or try Go Karting. The park also has exotic birds and is a wildlife reservoir. It also has some amazing rides that you can hop on if you are feeling adventurous.

5. Japanese Park:

Japanese Park is popular among the people of Islamabad due to the list of recreational activities the park hosts. Japanese Park was gifted to Pakistan by the Japanese Government in 1985 as a token of friendship. The park has recreational activities for kids such as a jumping castle, a jungle gym, a trampoline, a wooden bridge, dinosaur statues many other exciting things that will keep your children busy.
