In another setback to the education system of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Pakistan Studies paper for the Matric Board was leaked today ahead of the scheduled examination. This occurrence marks the fourth consecutive instance within a brief period where examination papers have been compromised, prompting significant concerns regarding the integrity of the education system in the province.
Just before the start of the examination, the leak occurred, intensifying the existing anxiety and uncertainty among students. The leaked paper spread through multiple channels, prompting authorities to urgently address the situation and uphold the credibility of the examination process.
This regrettable occurrence follows a series of similar incidents earlier this month. On the 20th, 22nd, and 23rd of this month, successive papers were leaked, prompting Minister of Education Faisal Tarkai to take action. Despite assurances and efforts from the authorities, such as the appointment of Commissioner Malakand to conduct an inquiry, the recurrence of paper leaks highlights the systemic challenges confronting the education sector in KP.
