Pakistan is all set to host the 2023 Asia Cup next year and according to Cricbuzz, Team India is ready to travel to Pakistan after 15 years.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is considering the agenda but the clearance is subject to the government.
The last visit of the Indian Team to Pakistan was in 2008 when they lost the final to Sri Lanka.
Next year India will also host ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in October and November.
BCCI officials have reportedly said that “It will be subject to the clearance of the Government of India as always.”
They also said, “There is always this alternative of hosting the event in the UAE, like this year’s Asia Cup, but the BCCI note seems to be indicating otherwise.”
On the other hand, the Men in Green are all set to take on India on 23rd October for the tournament opener in T20 World Cup 2022 at the iconic MCG.
Pakistan has faced India thrice this year and has won two games.
