As per SEN Sports, Australia may host an India-Pakistan tri-series.

A test match between the two arch-rivals is also under talk. This test match will be a huge one as the two teams will be playing a test match for the first time after 2007.

The cricket teams of Pakistan and India are involved in these talks to play a test match on Australian soil after their last T20 World Cup match on October 23.

The T20 World Cup match between the arch-rivals was also one of the most historic matches as the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) was packed with over 90,000 people attending.

Since the last test match in 2007, the teams have only faced each other in ICC and ACC tournaments.

Australian all-rounder Simon O’Donnell has also said, “That [their T20 World Cup clash] was extraordinary.”

“That game itself is the one that’s held the tournament up so far, people keep referring back to it. There was 90,000 at a neutral venue, there was extraordinary emotion, the scenes of the game, the tightness of the game, the pressure,” he added.

O’Donnell further added that “It was magnificent sort of stuff, to the level that I can say there will be discussions being had, or there are discussions being had to play a Test match here.”

O’Donnell has also claimed that there is a possibility of a triangular ODI series, “There’s also the possibility of a triangular One-Day series between India, Pakistan and Australia or a Test match between India and Pakistan. My word there are [conversations happening] in the wake of this [T20 World Cup clash]. There are already discussions taking place.”
