Wednesday: The suspect in the Canada stabbing Myles Sanderson died after being captured by the police due to “medical distress.”
The weekend stabbing spree in Canada left 10 people dead while 19 suffered injuries. 3 are in critical condition and the remaining 10 are under medical care in hospitals.
Police made the arrest after a high-speed chase went successful suspect on a motorway.
Although the police have provided no details, an anonymous resource said that Sanderson died of self-inflicted injuries.
It is still not clear to the authorities what prompted Sunday’s killing spree that encompassed 13 separate crime scenes. Both the suspects are brother, Myles Sanderson, 32 and Damien, 31 have died.
Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore said “This evening our province is breathing a collective sigh of relief.”
She also said that the police had received a report earlier in the day of Sanderson stealing a vehicle from outside a property. Fortunately, the householder was not injured during the theft.
Police then gave pursuit as Sanderson fled at speeds of 150km/h on the motorway in the province of Saskatchewan. His vehicle was forced into a ditch and officers found a knife in it as they arrested him.
The suspect was taken into custody at around 15:30 local time and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the police chief added.
