As Pakistan prepares for a severe cold wave brought on by fierce Siberian winds, peaks for this season’s temperatures are predicted across the nation.

Murree is anticipated to get significant snowfall between January 10 and January 14 as per Pak Weather, the largest automatic weather monitoring system in Pakistan.

Islamabad’s Margalla Hills, being situated so near the hill station, are also anticipated to have snowfall, which would cause the temperature in the federal capital to plunge below freezing.

In addition, Karachi is predicted to see very low temperatures from January 12 to January 16. Temperatures in the northern reaches of the provincial capital can range from 4-6°C.

While Karachi’s southern regions are predicted to see temperatures between 10 and 13 °C, the city’s core regions are forecast to remain between 7-9 °C.

In Karachi, this will be one of the coldest days in a long time. The 1940s saw Karachi see its coldest temperature ever, which was 0°C.

Due to climate change, temperatures have dramatically increased throughout the country. This year’s winters are expected to be the coldest that the nation has experienced in years.

The northern region will see extreme weather, with the exception of the country’s mid-range temperature cities.
