Sunday: Cristiano Ronaldo made history by becoming the first player to score 700 club goals. The player scored 700th goal of his career by playing for his team Manchester United.

The goal was made in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park.

Ronaldo was highly appreciated by football fans all over the world for making history as no other player has ever scored 700 club goals.

The Portugal captain was also United’s top scorer last season although the player struggled under the new boss Erik Hag.

However, Erik was quick to applaud Ronaldo for his achievement and said, “That is really impressive. When you score 700 goals, it’s a huge performance. I’m really happy for him, I congratulate him on that performance and I’m also happy it’s his first goal this season in the Premier League – he had to wait for it and I’m sure there will be more goals.”

Despite Ronaldo’s limited involvement this season, the player can still leave the club in January as there has been speculations before.

Here is a breakdown of all the goals of the star player:

Real Madrid – 450

Manchester United – 144

Juventus – 101

Sporting Lisbon – 5

The goal has also re-sparked the GOAT debate that fans all over the world indulge in while comparing Cristiano Ronaldo with Lionel Messi.
