Masood Khan, Pakistani Ambassador to the US has said that Pakistan will become an economic power by 2047.
In a speech in Washington DC, the Pakistani Ambassador said that Pakistan will be included in the list of top 10 economic powers by the year 2047.
In his address, Khan said Pakistan currently has the 23rd largest economy in terms of Public Private Partnerships and the 42nd largest in GDP.
According to Masood Khan, the country’s poverty has decreased from 64% to 24% in just the last two decades alone and this indicates Pakistan’s economy is improving.
The Ambassador has also said that recently, new and ground-breaking business ecosystems are being unlocked in the country and the tech sector is also witnessing growth.
The tech sector also has the potential to become a start-up hub as an alternative in the neighborhood.
Despite the hardships and difficulties, the country faces, its economy has the potential to develop rapidly as the country’s population is very much aligned with the needs of an emerging economy.
