The anti-government long march started today at 11 AM at Liberty Chowk, Lahore.
After the top court rejected the coalition government’s requests for orders to stop the long march, the march is all set to start today.
Although the additional attorney-general has pleaded with the top court to restrict PTI from marching into the capital, Islamabad.
Imran Khan has also issued a special message prior to the long march that states “Haqeeqi Azadi Long March was not for any personal or political interest to oust or to form the government but to liberate the country from the thieves who had seized power to get their corruption cases waived off.”
This will be PTI’s second anti-government long march in Islamabad after he was ousted earlier this year.
People have already started gathering around at Liberty Chowk, where the long march will start from Lahore and pass through various cities to enter the federal capital.

PM Shahbaz Sharif and PMLN have also decided to deploy the army in Islamabad’s Red Zon for the safety of the federal capital.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah stated, “No compromise will be made on the security and protection of important buildings in the Red Zone.”
Warning the PTI government, Sanaullah also said, “The government will also mobilize the army under Article 245 of the Constitution.”
