In April 2024, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) saw a significant revenue shortfall of Rs. 53 billion.

In April 2024, the FBR collected Rs. 654 billion, falling short of the targeted Rs. 707 billion by Rs. 53 billion.

During July-April (2023-24), the FBR collected Rs. 7,366 billion, which is Rs. 48 billion short of the assigned revenue collection target of Rs. 7,414 billion.
