The Islamabad High Court (IHC) show-cause notice issued to Imran Khan (PTI Chairman) for threatening a judge, a supplementary reply was submitted on Wednesday in which he spoken “deep regret” over his “unintentional words” during a rally in Islamabad on August 20.

Zeba Chaudhry, the sessions judge, approved Shahbaz Gill’s physical remand in a sedition case, which incited outrage and led to the filing of a terror charge against the PTI chairman for his controversial remarks.

The case was heard by a five-member bench that consisted of IHC Chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minal¬lah, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri and Justice Babar Sattar.

The IHC took note of the situation and issued a summon for the PTI chairman to show up in front of it on August 31.

The PTI Chairman submitted a response today that said “Those utterances were never meant to interfere with or in any way influence the course of administration of justice. The Respondent believes that Courts all over Pakistan are adhering to the rule of law and the Constitution.”

Khan appealed for the discharge of the contempt notice issued to him in the court.
