Hundreds Scammed as Committee Wali Baji Runs Away with Rs. 42 Crores

Hundreds of women are left devastated as their ‘committee wali baji defaults on Rs. 420 million. A social media influencer, Sidra Hamid has claimed ‘bankruptcy’ stating that she has ‘no means left to pay off her committees’.

Sidra runs a home-food business by the name of Daily Bites as well as a handicraft business titled Croise. Sidra was also a committee manager of a monthly ballot committee system that has more than a hundred people, mostly women.

A few days back, Sidra took to her social media and posted a long statement that says she cannot pay anyone back. Her full statement is,

All the members are left in shock and many have taken to social media to express their devastation over losing their hard-earned money. While a lot of them are claiming they will take legal action against Sidra, so far no one has reached out to the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) or the police.

Sidra has gone off somewhere and her whereabouts remain unknown although she did claim to her committee members, “Please guys don’t panic. Your money will be returned in the coming months.”

A victim who was a member of the committee has said that she had Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 two committees and knew Sidra for 7 to 10 years.

Another victim of Sidra Hamid has claimed to have been contributing to three committees of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 100,000, and Rs. 500,000.

According to people, all the money was used by Sidra as she used to flaunt her luxury items on social media such as expensive mobile phones, branded purses, watches, and branded shoes.
