After the disastrous floods wreaked havoc in one-third of the country, hotel owners in Masehra, Kaghan, have announced discounts on rooms, meals, transport, and other amenities to attract tourists.
On Monday, Seth Matiullah, the President of the Hotels Association Naran/Kaghan, expressed his grief for the devastation caused by the floods in Swat and the rest of the country, at a press conference that was also attended by hotel owners in Naran.
He announced a 50% discount on accommodation and a 20% discount on transportation, as well as restaurant meals.
Matiullah stated that, “As a goodwill gesture, we invite the people to visit Kaghan valley to help them come out of the trauma.”
He also revealed that the traffic is open between KP and Gilgit-Baltistan through the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhand road but the tourists are not returning to the valley due to the trauma of the recent floods.
Matiullah urged tourists to visit Kaghan as the businesses are operating normally again.
Hotels in the nearby Manoor Valley were washed away by the floods, however, the Kaghan Valley remained safe.
