Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan was the target of an assassination attempt last year in Wazirabad during a rally of his party. According to the forensic report of the attack, Khan was hit by by three bullet fragments and a metal piece.
The forensic report issued by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency, states, “One sealed parcel containing four plastic containers, two deformed bullets (items B8 and B11), one small metallic piece (item B9), and one bullet jacket (item B10) were recovered from the body of Imran Khan.”
The reports also reveal that shots were fired from the left side of the truck, aimed at the open-top container of the former prime minister.
Post-mortem reports of Moazzam Gondal, a PTI worker who lost his life in the attack, reveal he was shot in the back of the head from a height.
Several members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were also injured in the attack.
