Neuralink Corp, a company owned by Elon Musk has announced that it plans on putting coin-sized chips in human brains very soon.
At an event held on Wednesday in California HQ, Neuralink announced that the device they’ve been working on is complete. The product is coin-sized and contains electrode-laced cables and a robot that cuts the skull to place the chip in the brain.

Neuralink says that human testing is starting within 6 months and according to the owner, Elon Musk, the company has been given the green signal by US Food and Drug Administration.
Neuralink is also working on developing implants for other parts of the body. These implants will be inserted into the spinal cord of individuals suffering from paralysis to restore movement. The product also has an ocular (eye) implant that will be able to improve or restore the vision of a person.
Musk has stated that he hopes this new device will enable information transfer between machines and humans and will become mainstream soon.
