Blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt is more than just a movie. After dangling in the balance for a while, the movie was ultimately released in 2022.
As the first Pakistani production to gross more than 200 crores worldwide, it has since surpassed other South Asian cinema milestones, and it currently does not appear to be winding down.
The masterpiece featuring Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi, in which Bilal Lashari once again displayed his talent, also demonstrated how swiftly individuals fall in love.
The movie is still dominating theatres in Pakistan, and it has enjoyed tremendous success in the UK and other European countries.
The buzz made the movie’s release in India a demand, but Pakistani movies aren’t allowed to show there, while most Indian movies aren’t allowed to show in Pakistan. There have been a few exceptions, including the release of a few Indian Punjabi movies here.
Despite the prohibitions, The Legend of Maula Jatt will now screen in Indian Punjab and Delhi.
Fans of Fawad Khan across the border will undoubtedly like this as he was just barred from working there by radical Hindus.
The film’s distribution in the capital has been temporarily halted by a recent decision from a Delhi court, though.
