Bus Stops Deemed Illegal Will Be Relocated Outside Karachi

In a meeting convened by Commissioner Karachi Hassan Naqvi on Saturday, several crucial decisions were taken to tackle traffic concerns within the city.


Also present at the meeting were the Secretary of Transport, DIG Traffic, DCs, DG Mass Transit Authority, and other officials. The decision was made to move all illegal bus stands outside the city.


Additionally, it was determined that the prohibition on heavy vehicles entering Karachi would be rigorously enforced. Commissioner Karachi emphasized the establishment of terminals for the relocated illegal bus stands outside the city.

Furthermore, a proposal was put forward to finance the installation of signals, signs, and lane markings using fines collected. The Commissioner instructed the relevant authorities to initiate action for the installation of traffic signals and lane markings.
