Lyari’s love for football is known throughout the country and short clips from Lyari have also gone viral during the world cup where people are celebrating the biggest sporting event. The youth of Lyari is also very good at the game and the area is often termed as ‘mini-Brazil”.
A lot of youth from Lyari is also enrolled in football academies although there is no recognition for football in Pakistan.
