Today, Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Neil Hawkins met with Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Finance Division to discuss bilateral affairs and bolster the enduring ties between Pakistan and Australia.
The finance minister emphasized the enduring bond between Australia and Pakistan, stressing Pakistan’s appreciation for this relationship and the imperative to strengthen it further, particularly in economic cooperation and trade.
He also discussed the government’s commitment to privatizing State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and highlighted potential investments from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, as well as the importance of advancing the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The Australian High Commissioner updated the minister on Australian government initiatives with Pakistani Agriculture Universities to boost agriculture and livestock sectors. He assured ongoing Australian support for Pakistan’s socio-economic progress.
