A passenger, Abdullah Basharat, traveling from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi has mysteriously lost a huge sum of money during his travel.
According to sources, $10,000 has been stolen from a passenger’s handbag. Upon reaching his destination, Abu Dhabi, the traveler only found $51 in his wallet.
Islamabad Aiport Administration has conducted an inquiry and reviewed CCTV footage from the cameras installed at the airport. The victim’s parents were shown the CCTV footage that clearly shows the handbag remained with the passenger throughout his stay at the Islamabad airport.
Basharat has submitted a video statement saying that he had kept $10,000 in his travel bag along with the luggage and duly declared it at the counter, “After declaring the amount, the bag remained with me all the time except only going through scanning machines twice.”
Whether the dollars were stolen during the air travel or the passenger’s arrival in Abu Dhabi remains a mystery.
Basharat further added that upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi, he was shocked to find out that the money was missing from the travel bag.
