Also, when you visit Shogran, you cannot miss two other tourist spots namely Siri and Paye Meadows. These are lush green landscapes that have a view of the snow-covered mountain peaks and are closer to the clouds. The road conditions are not very good but are easily accessible by jeep.

Skardu has the honor of hosting the second highest mountain in the world, the K2. You will witness the stunning meadows, snow-capped mountain peaks, lush green fields, and the cold desert in Skardu. The place is a sight to behold no matter in which season you choose to visit it, in spring you will find stunning views of the cherry blossom and apricot tress, and in autumn, you will see the place filled with a lot of different colors. The most popular places you should visit in Skardu include Upper Kachura Lake, Katpana Desert, Kharphocho Fort, Deosai National Park, K2 Museum, Sheosar Lake, and Satpara Lake. Skardu also has its own airport that allows you to directly reach the valley from anywhere in the country or even the world since the airport has just turned International.

5. Fairy Meadows:

Fairy Meadows is surrounded by a thick alpine forest and has an altitude of about 3,300 meters above sea level so, you will have to hike your way up. It is also a launching point for climbers who summit the mighty killer mountain aka Nanga Parbat. If you are a couple who is always up for an adventure, then you can try to go to the Nanga Parbat base camp. The site is approachable by a 15 km long jeep ride or trekking starting from Raikot Bridge to Tato Village. Although the jeep ride is dangerous, it will still not drop you at the exact point. You will still have to travel a distance of 5 km by walking 4 to 5 hours on foot to reach Fairy Meadows. The view after you reach the top is to die for, with Nanga Parbat’s proximity and the stunning trails with clear night skies, Fairy Meadows is a slice of heaven.
