530, 749 Leave Pakistan for Employment Abroad

According to the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment, more than 500,000 Pakistanis left the country in pursuit of jobs across the world,

However, more than 530, 749 people have left Pakistan in the first 8 months of 2022.

About 80% of overseas Pakistani workers are employed in UAE and Saudi Arabia. Rround 75% of the total jobs taken by Pakistanis abroad are of the labor class such as carpenters and drivers.

Pakistan’s economy is sixth largest in the world and there are not enough jobs for everyone. This is the main reason that so many Pakistanis prefer to move abroad in search of better jobs.

Based on the available data, more than 10.1 million Pakistanis have moved abroad in search of better job opportunities.

According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani, 70% of Pakistanis feel connected to their homeland and prefer to stay in Pakistan even if they are given an employment opportunity abroad. However, every 1 in 3 younger Pakistani is willing to leave the country.
