A rumor that “Hollywood and global elites” torture children to harvest the chemical adrenochrome from their blood which they inject in order to stay healthy and young has been going around the internet.
A favorite topic of a lot of conspiracy communities for a long while now is the so-called “adrenochrome harvesting”. However, the theory has been resurrected during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Google Trends also shows significant spikes in searches for adrenochrome and it is also prevalent on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms. In 2020, the conspiracy theorists also held the first “Child Lives Matter” protest in Hollywood to “expose” child trafficking, advertising the event with references to #adrenochrome.
So, what is Adrenochrome? Well, it is a chemical compound that can be produced by oxidizing the hormone adrenaline. It is most famous for driving animals’ fight-or-flight response.
Adrenochrome blood-harvesting is a pro-Trump conspiracy theory and you will be able to find these people linking everyone hostile to Donald Trump being accused of using adrenochrome somewhere on the internet.
This QAnon theory has been around for years now and now this antisemitic myth is spreading against Hollywood. Conspiracy theorist Liz Crokin said in a YouTube video that, “Adrenochrome is a drug that the elites love. It comes from children. The drug is extracted from the pituitary gland of tortured children. It’s sold on the black market. It’s the drug of the elites. It is their favorite drug. It is beyond evil. It is demonic. It is so sick. So there is a theory that the white hats tainted the adrenochrome supply with the coronavirus.”
The actor Mel Gibson was also accused of saying exposing Bollywood and allegedly saying that “Hollywood studios are “drenched in the blood of innocent children” and that the consumption of “baby blood is so popular in Hollywood that it basically operates as a currency of its own””.
