Sigve Brekke will step down on December 1, 2024, after serving over nine years as President and CEO of Telenor.
Telenor’s Board of Directors conducted an extensive search for a new President and CEO as Sigve Brekke approached retirement by the end of 2024. After careful deliberation, Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer was selected to lead the telecom company.
Currently serving as CEO of SpareBank 1 SR-Bank, Fasmer brings extensive experience from the banking and technology sectors, along with valuable leadership roles on various boards.
