The FBR Has Identified Mall Of Islamabad As A Benami Property

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has attached the suspected benami property, Plot No. 56-N, Mall of Islamabad, located on main Jinnah Avenue, Sector F-7, Islamabad.

The FBR Anti-Benami Zone 1 Deputy Commissioner IR/Initiating Officer has issued an order for the provisional attachment of the benami property, Plot No. 56-N, located on main Jinnah Avenue, Sector F-7, Islamabad.

Based on material evidence gathered during an authorized inquiry and investigation under Section 21 of the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 2017, a show cause notice under section 22(1) of the Act has been issued, vide C.No. 113(1)/IO-(1)-BZISB/2020/507.


Following the approval by the Approving Authority, Commissioner IR, Benami Zone-1, Islamabad, under Section 22(3) via office letter C.No. 338 dated 30.04.2024, the provisional attachment of the suspected benami property, Plot No. 56-N, located at main Jinnah Avenue, Sector F-7, Islamabad, under section 22(3) of the Act has been approved.

Therefore, in accordance with Section 22(3) read with Section 5 of the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act 2017, the transfer of the aforementioned property or its imposition of a charge in any manner is hereby prohibited and restrained until further orders from the undersigned. Furthermore, all individuals are prohibited from benefiting from such transfer or charge.
