The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted rain, wind, and thunderstorms across most parts of the country for the upcoming week, with intermittent periods of respite expected.

A westerly wave is anticipated to approach western regions by April 24, potentially affecting upper areas by April 26. The expected weather conditions are as follows:

In Balochistan, rain, wind, and thunderstorms (with isolated heavy falls) are projected from April 24 (night) to April 27 (morning) in several districts including Quetta, Gwadar, and Mastung.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could witness rain, windstorms, thunderstorms, and snowfall over high mountains from April 25 (evening/night) to April 29, occasionally accompanied by hailstorms.

Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir regions are likely to experience rain, wind, thunderstorms, and snowfall over high mountains from April 26 to 29.

Punjab and Islamabad may encounter rain, wind, and thunderstorms with intermittent moderate to heavy falls from April 26 to 29, with isolated occurrences of hailstorms.

In Sindh, dust thunderstorms, and light rain are expected in several districts on April 25 and April 26.
