Muhammad Ali Sadpara’s Son Announce “K-2 Clean Up Campaign”

Son of the late mountaineer, the legendary Muhammad Ali Sadpara, Sajid Ali Sadpara has planned to launch a “K-2 Clean Up Campaign”.

Sajid took to his official Twitter account to announce the news, saying that the voluntary cleanliness campaign will start from June- August 2023.

In a thread of tweets made by Sajid, he wrote that “Hereby, I want to come forward and voluntarily clean up the symbol of the glory of Pakistani nation and the final resting place of my beloved father.”

Sajid Ali Sadpara also said that he will be accompanied by local mountaineers from Gilgit-Baltistan in the clean-up campaign.

The brave mountaineer and one of the best in Pakistan also stated that he hopes “the efforts will not only help in keeping our mountains clean but will also create awareness internationally about climate change crisis which our nation is facing”.

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi is also supporting the campaign and has issued a cheque worth PKR 1.5 million to Sajid for the “K2 Clean Up” campaign.

CM also remarked that Sajid’s efforts for the cleanup campaign were “praiseworthy’ and that the Punjab government fully supports it.

He also said that this cleanup campaign will prove to be beneficial in promoting tourism in Pakistan.

CM Elahi also complimented Sajid for being “a brave son of Pakistan who achieved a remarkable milestone by conquering K2 mountain without oxygen.”
