By the instruction of Administrator Karachi, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has started developing a digitalized map of the whole of Karachi city which is called “Know Your Karachi”. Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Administrator of Karachi, authorized this development to help the citizens and visitors easily navigate all the routes and directions.
Syed Afzal Zaidi, Municipal Commissioner said that KMC has started developing this digital map and the map will be soon available on KMC’s official website.
People can go to the website and get help in navigation through this digital map. The Commissioner also added that KMC will continue to facilitate the citizens by enhancing and improving public services with the help of technology.
Murtaza Wahab examined the progress of this digital map for the first time and stated the details of the map. The digital map will display all the key information about the entire Karachi city.
It will have details about the municipal services and the location of all the hospitals, police stations, universities, libraries, public parks, union councils, fire stations, bus routes (People Bus Service and BRT Green line included), public places, postboxes, etc. The citizens were also invited by the administrator to give feedback and suggestions for further improvements in this digital map.
